Well, here we are. The day has finally arrived, and while I’ve done my best to prepare for this moment, I still don’t feel fully ready. Moving across the country is no small feat, especially when you’re 27 weeks pregnant and trying to juggle everything else in life.

Thankfully, I’ve got an incredible support system around me, including my amazing 3-year-old son who seems surprisingly okay with all the changes. Yesterday morning, he woke up and declared, "Mommy, I'm ready to go to Louisiana!" I love how optimistic he is, but I know once we settle in, we’ll face a whole new set of challenges—like explaining why the baby still hasn’t arrived yet. We’ve been telling him the baby won’t come until after we relocate, so I’ll probably need to come up with another creative way to explain "a few more months." Suggestions welcome!

Even though I’m feeling both excited and emotional about this new chapter in our lives, I’ll admit it’s hard to say goodbye to the wonderful friends I’ve made in Clearwater. These friendships mean the world to me, and I know they’ll endure, just like the bonds I’ve built along the way. Distance won’t weaken those connections—it’ll only make them stronger over time.

In the midst of all this chaos, I’ve learned one important lesson: flexibility is key. There’s no point in stressing about things being perfect right away. My kitchen doesn’t have to be showroom-ready overnight, and honestly, I don’t have the energy for perfection anyway. That’s why my husband and I came up with a secret code word—"peanut"—that anyone can use to remind me to take a 10-minute breather. So far, it’s been working wonders! In fact, I’m writing this very post during one of my scheduled breaks.

Now that we’ve arrived in Louisiana, I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the local culture and discovering some delicious Cajun recipes. You can bet I’ll be sharing my favorites here on the blog, so stay tuned for that. For now, let me show you some snapshots from our last few weeks before the big move.

And just like that, another chapter begins. I hope you'll join me as I explore this new part of the world and share my journey with you. Life is full of surprises, and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Until then,
