You've probably noticed that my hair has been up a lot lately—whether it's in a bun, twist, or braids. It's hot, and let me tell you, carrying extra weight in the Florida humidity isn't exactly helping matters. Oh, and on top of that, both my curling iron and flat iron decided to break down in the same week. I haven't gotten around to replacing them yet, so I've been rocking more "updos" until I figure out what to do. If anyone has any recommendations, feel free to share!

Switching gears, our little bundle of joy is growing fast, and we're all getting ready for his arrival in a few weeks—or maybe sooner, who knows! Even our dog has been put through some sort of "training," though I think it's more like we're training ourselves to handle everything that comes with a new baby. Right now, I'm supposed to be walking around with one of Aliyah's baby dolls, pretending to take care of it like my own. For a while, I actually did okay with that, but now the doll spends most of its time in the bassinet while I focus on my real kids. Aliyah, bless her heart, keeps checking in, asking things like, "Where's the baby?" or nudging me towards the room with, "I think the baby is crying." My response? Always the same: "She's in the bassinet. She's fine." I think she's starting to wonder about my maternal instincts.

Just a heads-up, more randomness incoming. Last night, Chris asked if I was getting excited about the baby's arrival. To be honest, I'm absolutely thrilled to welcome this third miracle into our lives. But I've never been the type of pregnant mom who couldn't wait to jump straight into the next chapter. When people ask if I'm ready, I usually respond with, "Yes and no." I love this stage of pregnancy—it feels like a protective cocoon keeping both me and our baby safe. It's comforting, even if my body doesn't always agree. Motherhood is scary, but that's part of what makes it beautiful. Without the challenge, there wouldn't be as much reward. As I dream about cute diapers and adorable onesies (trust me, they're coming soon!), I'll keep practicing my mothering skills with that doll. After all, I want to impress Aliyah when she gets home from school.

Anyway, enough seriousness. I've got some serious snacking to do before bed tonight—don't judge, pregnancy cravings are no joke! Gotta keep the energy up for all the sleepless nights ahead. Hope everyone else is doing well. Let me know if you have any tips for surviving the last stretch of pregnancy or parenting advice—I could use all the help I can get!
