The Export of Hormone APIs in the First Quarter of 2011
On May 6, hydrocortisone, dexamethasone, estrogen and progesterone were the major exporters of hormonal APIs in China. According to statistics from China Customs, in the first quarter of 2011, the exports of other female (scorpion) hormones and progesterone were 50,116,600 U.S. dollars, an increase of 31.37% over the same period of last year. Cortisone, hydrocortisone, dehydrocortisone, and deshydrostannol The export value was 406.73 million US dollars, an increase of 43.33% over the same period of last year. The export value of other halogenated derivatives of corticosteroids was 20.4838 million US dollars, an increase of 34.22% over the same period of last year (see Table 1).
