Intermittent operation. It consists of a base, a transmission, a drum and a casing (Fig. 2). The whole machine is vertical and the drum is supported. A damping device consisting of six radially arranged springs (or rubber pads) is located outside the main bearing of the drum. The transmission of the drum usually adopts a helical gear speed increase transmission, and some adopt a belt transmission. The drum cover and the drum body are fastened by a threaded locking ring, and the sealing ring is leakproof. The disc has a conical shape, and the half cone angle is larger than the friction angle of the solid particles and the surface of the disc, generally 30° to 45°, the number of discs is 50 to 180, and the disc gap is 0.5 to 2 mm. After the separator is operated for a period of time, the sediment on the inner wall of the drum increases, and the clarity of the separation liquid decreases. When the clarity of the separation liquid is not satisfactory, the drum is dismantled and the sediment in the drum is manually removed. The separator has a throughput of up to 45 m3/hr and is suitable for treating suspensions and emulsions with a particle diameter of 0.001 to 0.1 mm and a solid phase concentration of less than 1%.
Nozzle slag disc separator
Continuous operation. The overall structure is similar to the manual slagging disc separator, but the inner cavity of the drum is double-conical, which can compress the sediment and increase the sediment concentration. The inner diameter of the drum is large, 900 mm. There are 2 to 24 nozzles that spray slurry slurry on the periphery of the drum, and the nozzle aperture is 0.5 to 3.2 mm. The number and pore size of the nozzles are determined based on the nature of the suspension, the degree of concentration, and the amount of treatment. The sediment flow rate through the nozzle is very large, and the nozzle is made of wear resistant materials such as cemented carbide, corundum and boron carbide. In order to increase the slagging concentration, the separator also has a structure in which the discharged sediment portion is sent to the rotary drum for recycling. The solid phase concentration of the sediment can be increased by 5 to 20 times than the solid phase concentration of the feed. The separator has a throughput of up to 300 m 3 /hr and is suitable for treating suspensions having a solid phase particle diameter of 0.1 to 100 μm and a solid phase concentration of usually less than 10% (zui up to 25%).
Valve slag disc separator
Intermittent slagging is carried out by using a ring-shaped shutter to open and close the slag discharge port, which is also called an automatic slag discharge disc separator. The overall structure is similar to the manual slag disc separator. The feature is that the drum (Fig. 4) has a valve slag discharge device, which can remove the sediment in the drum without stopping. During operation, the suspension is added by the drum center feeding tube for separation. The total sealing water pressure under the valve is greater than the total pressure of the suspension acting on the valve. The valve position is above and the slag opening is closed (the separated state on the left side of the figure). The sealing water pressure relief valve around the drum is opened, and the sealing water is discharged, and the valve is rapidly lowered by the pressure of the suspension in the rotating drum, and the slag discharging port is opened (the state on the right side of the figure). After draining the sediment and liquid in the drum, the supply of operating water is stopped, the pressure relief valve is closed, the sealing water pressure is raised, the valve is raised to close the slag discharge port, and a working cycle is completed. The method for automatically controlling the slag discharge of the valve is as follows: (1) controlling the slag discharge by using a time relay according to a predetermined operation cycle; (2) controlling the slag discharge by using a photocell to monitor the clarification degree of the separation liquid; (3) the pressure signal or the slag surface signal according to the degree of accumulation of the sediment in the drum Control slagging. The slagging time is generally 1 to 2 seconds. The part of the slag discharge drum can control the shorter slagging time, only discharge a part of the sediment in the drum, and does not discharge the liquid, and the slag discharge can be stopped without continuous feeding, thereby improving the processing capacity. The separator has a large processing capacity of 60 m3/hour, and is suitable for treating suspensions having a solid particle diameter of 0.001 to 0.5 mm, a solid-liquid phase density difference of more than 0.01 kg/dm 3 and a solid phase concentration of less than 10%.
