Plastic packaging industry green packaging into a development direction

The plastic green packaging industry presents nine development trends:

1. Research and develop recyclable green packaging materials

Packaging waste regulations vary from place to place, but there is a common principle: to encourage the use of less raw materials. In the packaging design, the same material should be used as much as possible, and the materials that can coexist can be separated and tend to use materials that are simple in structure and easy to recycle. Under the premise of satisfying the packaging function, the amount of garbage generated is minimized, and the development trend of lightweight packaging film is presented.

2. Research on plastic stabilization technology The key to the development of plastic stabilization technology is the research and development of new antioxidants, UV stabilizers and free radical traps. Re-filling plastic containers for daily chemicals, trays or turnover boxes for food, etc., can use plastic stabilization technology to manufacture high-quality plastic products to enhance the value of reuse or recycling.

3. Research on plastic degradable technology Degradable plastics are generally classified into biodegradable plastics, photodegradable plastics and bio/photodegradable plastics. Domestically developed varieties have covered photodegradation, photobiodegradation, photo-oxygen biodegradation, high-starch biodegradation, high-calcium carbonate-filled photo-oxidation, and biodegradation; the application of degradable plastic products in packaging It has been used in general packaging films, shrink films, shopping bags, garbage bags, etc., and has played a positive role in improving environmental quality. From the perspective of protecting the ecological balance, it is urgent to study completely biodegradable plastics. In particular, high-quality, low-cost biodegradable plastic filled with edible powder or inorganic minerals is an important research topic of degradable plastics.

4. Research and development of incineration to recover heat energy or use steelmaking furnace to reuse plastic waste. Incineration and recovery of heat energy is a major means of recycling plastic waste, and it is also a realistic choice for the treatment of plastic waste. In the future, we should research and develop equipment related to the supply of thermal energy by plastic waste treatment, and design equipment that is easier to use, longer in life, and lower in price, so as to accelerate the research and development of incineration and recovery of heat energy in China and the use of plastic waste in steelmaking furnaces.

5. Edible Film The edible packaging film is a film having a porous network structure formed by natural insoluble substances (such as polysaccharides, proteins, etc.) and formed by interaction between different molecules. Such as chitosan edible packaging film, corn protein packaging film, modified cellulose edible packaging film and composite edible packaging film, etc., edible film can be applied to the inner packaging of various ready-to-eat foods, in the food industry should Has a huge market. 6. Water-soluble plastic packaging film Water-soluble plastic packaging film as a novel green packaging material, is widely used in the packaging of various products in Europe, America, Japan and other countries, such as pesticides, fertilizers, pigments, dyes, detergents, water Treatment agents, mineral additives, detergents, concrete additives, chemical reagents for photography, and chemical reagents for horticultural care.

7. Focus on the development of circular economy plastics, corresponding countermeasures, laws, regulations and systems

At present, China's solid plastic waste distribution facilities have appeared in Shanghai, but there are still many people at will. Quite a number of regions, departments, and companies show short-term behaviors that only pay attention to immediate interests.

8. After 10 years of hard work, we have developed a plastic CT for food packaging containers that meets environmental protection principles. CT is not only resistant to high temperatures, but also has the outstanding advantage of Zui, that is, its function is similar to that of PSP plastic products commonly known as "bubble foam plastic", and its volume is only 1/4 of the latter. This avoids the troubles caused by the bulk of the recycling, and creates extremely favorable conditions for eliminating the negative impact on the environment.

9. New high-barrier plastic packaging materials New high-barrier plastics have been widely used abroad, and this technology has also been introduced in China.

The use of high-strength, high-barrier plastics not only improves food protection, but also reduces the amount of plastic used when packaging the same amount of food, and can even be reused. At present, high-barrier materials commonly used in China include aluminum foil, nylon, polyester, and polyvinylidene chloride. As the protective requirements for foods increase, ethylene, vinyl alcohol copolymers, polyvinyl alcohol, etc., which have better barrier properties, are also being used.
