According to the goals and requirements of the 12th Five-Year Plan to combat AIDS, by 2015, the number of people needing treatment should be around 240,000. China The anti-AI drug manufacturers will receive up to 50 million US dollars of market space.

According to the reporter's understanding, the increase in the resistance rate to anti-AI drugs has increased the pressure and difficulty of clinical and R&D. At the same time, some regions and departments do not pay enough attention to AIDS prevention and control, policies are not implemented properly, and coverage of prevention and control measures is insufficient; existing prevention and control technologies, methods and capabilities are still unable to meet job demands, and the pertinence and effectiveness of prevention and control work needs to be further improved. The basic work at the grassroots level needs to be strengthened.

In order to improve treatment methods, the State Council will incorporate AIDS into national research strategies and promote research and development of new drugs through the “production, learning, and research” mechanism.

During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the departments of health, science and technology, drug supervision, and Chinese medicine will implement the "Twelfth Five-Year" implementation plan for "Prevention and Control of Major Infectious Diseases such as AIDS and Viral Hepatitis" and "Significant New Drug Creation" as a national Major Project as soon as possible.
