Doing well before laying seedlings to reduce the pool casualties

In recent years, through our experience in freshwater aquaculture, we have observed that under similar conditions, the mortality rate of seedlings is significantly higher when feed is not provided before they are transferred to a new pond. This year, Xingyang Company, part of the Sheyang Salt Field in Jiangsu Province, faced a large-scale death of seedlings since their introduction into the ponds in March. In some individual ponds, the average daily mortality reached over 1,000, with many ponds recording more than 10,000 dead fish. The primary cause of death was erythroderma, while cases of hydromycosis were relatively rare. Based on our analysis, the main reason for these lesions is the weakened immunity of the seedlings. Therefore, I believe that the practice of feeding before transferring the seedlings is crucial in preventing injury and mortality. In traditional aquaculture practices, it is common to withhold feed from seedlings for extended periods before transfer, which deprives them of essential nutrients. This leads to weakened intestinal function and a rapid decline in overall health, resulting in severely compromised immunity. Additionally, the use of antibiotics during transportation and prior to pond entry can further harm the seedlings, while the sudden change in water conditions creates a strong stress response. Moreover, due to the scarcity of high-quality seedlings and rising costs in recent years, many farmers have lowered their standards when purchasing seedlings, and some have even cut corners on transportation to reduce expenses. These factors have collectively worsened the condition and mortality of the fish. Our recommendation is to move away from outdated practices and adjust long-standing farming habits. Before transferring seedlings to new ponds, it is essential to ensure they receive proper nutrition to strengthen their bodies and boost their immune systems. At the same time, reducing the frequency of transportation and cultivating a certain amount of live food in the pond area before stocking can help minimize post-transfer mortality. By adopting these measures, farmers can improve the survival rate and overall success of their aquaculture operations.

Onion Granules

Dehydrated Onion granules are a type of onion product made by removing water through a special process. They retain the flavor and nutrients of the onion while extending the shelf life, making it easier to use.
Dehydrated onion granules have a wide range of applications in cooking. They can be used as a seasoning to add the characteristic aroma and flavor of onions to various dishes. Being dehydrated, dehydrated onion granules are easier to store and transport, making them suitable for a variety of occasions and environments.
In addition, dehydrated onion granules have some nutritional value. They are rich in vitamins and minerals, which are beneficial to human health. Also, the dehydration process helps to retain the antioxidants in the onions, which have certain health benefits for the human body.
Overall, dehydrated onion granules are a convenient, useful and nutritious condiment that is an essential part of cooking.
